  I'm Nicole, the founder of Smile Therapy for Kids New Jersey and, most importantly, Sal's mom. Like many of the families who will walk through our doors, I never imagined this would be my journey. After watching my son make incredible progress through intensive therapy, I knew I couldn't keep that experience to just our family. I made it my mission to bring the same hope, innovation, and opportunity to children right here in New Jersey. While I'm not a clinician, I am the heart behind the vision. Every decision I make is guided by one question: What would I want for my own child? My goal is to create more than a therapy clinic—I want to build a place where families feel understood, children are celebrated, and every milestone, no matter how big or small, is worth cheering for. Smile Therapy for Kids was born from love, determination, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to reach their fullest potential. I'm honored to walk alongside our families, advocate for their children, and build a team that shares the same passion for changing lives—one smile at a time.

  Christina Scolpino

  Pediatric Occupational Therapist | 10+ Years of Experience

  Christina is a dedicated pediatric occupational therapist with over 10 years of experience and the proud owner of We Rock the Spectrum — Gloucester County. She is passionate about helping children develop the foundational skills they need to learn, move, and participate more confidently in everyday activities.

  Christina believes that helping a child develop is much like building a house — before you can build upward, you need a strong foundation. Her approach focuses on sensory processing, regulation, body awareness, and motor planning, recognizing that each child's body has unique needs.

  Always eager to learn and grow, Christina continually explores new techniques and approaches to better support the children she works with. She is currently expanding her knowledge of primitive reflexes and reflex integration to help children develop the foundational skills that can support their participation in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI).

  Christina is passionate about looking at the whole child, identifying what their body needs, and creating an individualized approach that gives every child the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

  Kelly Adams

  Pediatric Occupational Therapist | DMI Levels A, B & C

  Kelly earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Alvernia University and is an NBCOT-certified occupational therapist licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. With more than 10 years of pediatric experience, she has supported children and families across outpatient, school-based, and Early Intervention settings.

  Kelly believes that some of the biggest breakthroughs happen when children feel safe, connected, and free to play. She emphasizes building meaningful relationships with children and their families while creating engaging, individualized therapy experiences that encourage confidence, independence, and growth.

  She is a certified Therapeutic Listening provider and has completed specialized training in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Levels A, B, and C. Kelly continues to expand her knowledge in sensory processing, self-regulation, primitive reflex integration, visual perception, vestibular dysfunction, and DIR/Floortime.

  Kelly is passionate about understanding the whole child and finding creative ways to support their individual needs. Through a combination of connection, purposeful play, and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, she strives to help children develop the skills they need to thrive.

  Morgan Giordano

  Pediatric Occupational Therapist

  Morgan earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Monmouth University, where she developed a passion for helping children grow, learn, and reach their fullest potential. Her dedication to occupational therapy comes from her desire to make a meaningful difference in children's lives, provide encouragement and support to families, and celebrate every milestone along the way. Morgan recently completed specialized training in primitive reflexes, expanding her knowledge and ability to support children's development through individualized, engaging, and purposeful therapy. She is passionate about creating a positive, empowering environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and capable of reaching their full potential.

  Christianna Farrell

  Pediatric Physical Therapist | DMI Levels A, B & C

  Christianna earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University. With more than 20 years of pediatric experience, she brings extensive knowledge and a genuine passion for helping children reach their fullest potential.

  Throughout her career, Christianna has worked with children and families in Early Intervention, school-based therapy, outpatient settings, and private practice. Her diverse experience has given her a deep understanding of the unique challenges children face and the importance of developing individualized treatment plans that support their growth.

  Christianna has completed specialized training in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Levels A, B, and C, an approach that focuses on developing motor skills through targeted movement challenges and active participation.

  She is passionate about helping children build strength, balance, coordination, and confidence while celebrating every milestone along the way. Christianna believes that every child deserves the opportunity to explore their abilities, develop greater independence, and experience the joy of accomplishing something new.

  Her goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where children feel motivated to try, families feel empowered, and every achievement — big or small — is worth celebrating.

  Jo-Anne Weltman

  Physiotherapist — Clinical Mentor, DMI Co-Founder

  Jo-Anne Weltman graduated from Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1991 with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy. She went on to complete her MRSc. with research focused on hip dysplasia in children with Cerebral Palsy. Over the years, Jo-Anne has pursued extensive additional training in a variety of specialized therapies, including NDT, Conductive Education, Therapeutic Taping, Theratogs application, the Therasuit Approach, TASES (NMES) including spinal neuromodulation, Vestibular-Ocular therapy, CVI, CME III (one of the first three trained worldwide), Reflex Integration, Sensory Integration, and Orthopaedics in Children, among many others. Jo-Anne's passion has always been to provide the highest quality care to the children she serves. To meet the growing need for comprehensive developmental and orthopedic therapy, she founded S.M.I.L.E. Therapy for Kids, a private practice dedicated to child development. She remains committed to ongoing research and continually seeks the best treatment options for her patients, collaborating with specialists globally to ensure the best possible outcomes. In addition to her clinical work, Jo-Anne is the co-founder of Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) therapy. DMI is a comprehensive intervention that incorporates current research on neurorehabilitation, technologies, and methodologies. This therapeutic technique is used by physical and occupational therapists to treat children with gross motor impairments by improving and/or provoking the desired action with great emphasis on alignment, sensory integration, and function. The goal is to promote progress toward developmental milestones. Jo-Anne is deeply committed to mentoring and training new therapists, sharing her knowledge and expertise with the next generation of professionals. She is an advocate for children with special needs and their families and works hard at trying to make changes in many areas to help these children as well as increasing their general level of care by educating those who will provide care to them. She travels internationally to lead therapy intensives for families, helping them access specialized care. Her mission is to continue traveling, teaching, and expanding her reach to improve the lives of children worldwide.
