  I'm Nicole, the founder of Smile Therapy for Kids New Jersey and, most importantly, Sal's mom. Like many of the families who will walk through our doors, I never imagined this would be my journey. After watching my son make incredible progress through intensive therapy, I knew I couldn't keep that experience to just our family. I made it my mission to bring the same hope, innovation, and opportunity to children right here in New Jersey. While I'm not a clinician, I am the heart behind the vision. Every decision I make is guided by one question: What would I want for my own child? My goal is to create more than a therapy clinic—I want to build a place where families feel understood, children are celebrated, and every milestone, no matter how big or small, is worth cheering for. Smile Therapy for Kids was born from love, determination, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to reach their fullest potential. I'm honored to walk alongside our families, advocate for their children, and build a team that shares the same passion for changing lives—one smile at a time.

  Kelly Adams

  Pediatric Occupational Therapist

  MSOT from Alvernia University and NBCOT-certified occupational therapist licensed in NJ and PA. Kelly has supported children across outpatient, school-based and early intervention settings for more than a decade. She is a certified Therapeutic Listening provider, has completed DMI Introductory Level A training, and continues her education in sensory processing, self-regulation, reflex integration, visual perception, vestibular dysfunction and DIR/Floortime. Kelly believes rapport, collaboration and play-based therapy are vital to making lasting changes.

  Pediatric Physical Therapist

  Christianna earned her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University. She has more than 20 years experience in pediatrics in a variety of settings including Early Intervention, School-Based, Outpatient and Private Practice. She loves working with children and their families!

  Jo-Anne Weltman

  Physiotherapist — Clinical Mentor, DMI Co-Founder

  Jo-Anne Weltman graduated from Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1991 with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy. She went on to complete her MRSc. with research focused on hip dysplasia in children with Cerebral Palsy. Over the years, Jo-Anne has pursued extensive additional training in a variety of specialized therapies, including NDT, Conductive Education, Therapeutic Taping, Theratogs application, the Therasuit Approach, TASES (NMES) including spinal neuromodulation, Vestibular-Ocular therapy, CVI, CME III (one of the first three trained worldwide), Reflex Integration, Sensory Integration, and Orthopaedics in Children, among many others. Jo-Anne's passion has always been to provide the highest quality care to the children she serves. To meet the growing need for comprehensive developmental and orthopedic therapy, she founded S.M.I.L.E. Therapy for Kids, a private practice dedicated to child development. She remains committed to ongoing research and continually seeks the best treatment options for her patients, collaborating with specialists globally to ensure the best possible outcomes. In addition to her clinical work, Jo-Anne is the co-founder of Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) therapy. DMI is a comprehensive intervention that incorporates current research on neurorehabilitation, technologies, and methodologies. This therapeutic technique is used by physical and occupational therapists to treat children with gross motor impairments by improving and/or provoking the desired action with great emphasis on alignment, sensory integration, and function. The goal is to promote progress toward developmental milestones. Jo-Anne is deeply committed to mentoring and training new therapists, sharing her knowledge and expertise with the next generation of professionals. She is an advocate for children with special needs and their families and works hard at trying to make changes in many areas to help these children as well as increasing their general level of care by educating those who will provide care to them. She travels internationally to lead therapy intensives for families, helping them access specialized care. Her mission is to continue traveling, teaching, and expanding her reach to improve the lives of children worldwide.
